So, I undertook an insane project out of love for my best friend (and apparantly masochism for myself.) My best friend, Wind, always wanted a Daisuke plushie. Sadly, they never MADE any. ;-; This was heartbreaking!! So I decided that for her birthday this year, I'd make her one!

...Because I'm CRAZY. I have absolutely no sewing skills, no sewing machine, no pattern, no NOTHING. Still, I'm quite determined when I set my mind to something, so I set out to make her this plushie.

Now, I didn't even wanna THINK about making him clothes as WELL as the doll itself, so I decided I'd make it the same size as a Build a Bear. That way I could get it something cute to wear... and then once she had it she could get it evil dirty gay things to wear (because teh yaoi ok.)

He's made of fleece, using the 'bad' side for the skin since the good side is too fuzzy. The hair is a decorative fleece fake hair/fur THING that I have to wonder what it was intended for... really, it's great for anime hair but other than that?? No idea. The face is felt. The goggles I also hand made out of this craft foam, hard plastic for the lenses, elastic, and lots of super-glue.

I sewed the entire thing together from the 'inside' so that the only external seams were on the top of the head, which the hair then covered. The pictures don't show it, but he has his sideburns and everything. Also, I gave him a bellybutton, and an ass (yes... an ass. Teh yaoi, remember?)

All in all, I'd say it's damn impressive considering all I did was measure my bear (Emmet. *makes him wave*) and go "Uh... legs are kinda... this shape... >_>;;; *cut, sew, hope for the best*

Also, I'm probably going to hell. But we already knew that, didn't we? After all, other than the soccer uniform and kleats, I also got him pink hello kitty panties. Because a Daisuke doll wouldn't be complete without them.

This project took something like 20 hours total I think... I added it up by figuring out what movies I watched while working on it. XD That doesn't sound like much, I suppose, but it was very difficult and a huge pain in the ass and I vowed never to do it again. Ever.

...But now that he's done, and gone, I want a Taichi one. ;_; Maybe if I did it more carefully this time I could make myself a pattern? ^_^;; Ahahahahahahahaha... I need to see a psychologist about this sudden masochism.

Final notes and all: Daisuke is owned by Toei and all those people, but mainly Taichi (because the seme voice in my head cannot be ignored.) Also, the doll was for Wind (codename_windy@gogglelove.net)
